Monologues: Roberto Benigni aka Bob

Today we announce the monologue of a film starring Roberto Benigni in his first movie experience beyond the borders of Italy. In 1986, after studying English intensively for three months, the Tuscan actor stars opposite Tom Waits and John Lurie in Down by law, written and directed by Jim Jarmusch, set between the suburbs of New Orleans and the marshes of Louisiana. Bob, Jack and Zack, inmates in the Orleans Parish Prison, unable to escape from prison thanks to a trick of Italian, and to sow as soon as their pursuers venture blindly into a very dense forest. It is not easy, however, oriented in such a place, and the knowledge that he soon lost port high friction in the group of fugitives: Zack and Jack come even thrashing of beating each other for petty reasons, and leave Bob in the jungle. He had just caught a rabbit and wanted to share a dinner with two friends, but, given the circumstances, is found to do it all alone. While he is "cooking" the prey, to come to mind memories of distant family in Italy:

Zack, Jack! Jack, Zack! Why leave me alone? There's an excellent rabbit here. Taught me to cook my mom Isolina ... is the name of my mother. With rosemary, olive oil, garlic ... and the secrets of Isolina. She is kind to the first rabbit, "You're beautiful bunny, what beautiful eyes!" And then the blow. It 'strange my mom. My father no. E 'strong but is afraid of rabbits. My sister ... I have a mother and three sisters, Bruna, and Anna Albertina. I had a picture of my mom in my room ... laughing holding a rabbit and the other way ... Sometimes I dream my mother calling me: "On Robertino, come here" "no, I do not want." "Come, come," tac! What a blow on the neck! "I'm not a rabbit" "so are you." It 'strange my mom, but I love my mother Isolina, and my father Gigi, and my sisters Bruna, Albertina and Anna, my family and my rabbit. I like to hunt, to dream ... Zack, Jack! How nice to see you! Come and eat the rabbit that I cooked! Come!
